First Week

It was really exhuasting!!!!!

first day:
it was nice to see the familiar faces from last year's class.....they are all grown and they don't act like kinders anymore.....the new Kinders are so adorable, but don't let their innocent faces decieve you!!!!!!!!

second day:
Kinders are so difficult to take care of....i almost lost my voice today!!!!!after the second day, i have a second thought wether i want to be a teacher....it's just a lot of patience and time spent on it and the pay is not good

third day:
it was better.....kinders weren't as bad as yesterday which made me feel better

fourth day:
end of the school week and i was glad that it's over!!!!!!! i love englsh time because the first graders are so good compared to our class

wow...i'm back at sf already....i really MISS Korea....have no idea i would miss korea though....i will miss my kimchisutubu, desert....tall guys....just everything.....it was such a nice experience to go through a year in a very foreign place...oh yeah...i will miss HIKING...all the ajuma and ajorsi......they will be missed!!!!esp...hmmm...don't know what else to say other than a FUN and memorable year =)

can't believe it's 2nd already.....jenny and edmund would be coming today...dunno what time tho...hopefully they'll have fun before i give them my tour of the city.....wow....12 days then i'm back to my HOME....in some ways i'm eager to go back however a part of me will always miss Seoul.....esp. kimchisutubu....i have to take a picture of my favorite food before i leave!!!!!been running these couple days and feels really good.....many people are running nowadays...guess summer time does make a difference....

it's luisa's bday today.....so had a little eating thingy.....oh yea...it's been really HOT and humid around seoul...i don't like this feeling...esp today...i feel like i can't breathe......must be the pollution.......

selina left this morning...we had a get together yesterday night....didn't really planned to drink that much....but i ended up having a really chilled and nice conversation with mike after the get together....oh yea....i also met up with San...first time seeing him but felt pretty comfortable...he also went to the bar too....anyways...having that conversation with mike really sparked up a lot of things that are happening in our lives....mike was saying that when i go back to sf....i will fall back to my comfort zone and the same old pattern again....what's funny is that all my friends will still b talking the same topics and doing the same thing....just like i have never left before....i think it's so true......that's so scary....but to sum our convers. never settle for less and live each day happily~

back to seoul....rainy day man!!!!i have to drag my WET luggages into the taxi...after telling him that i don't mind putting for more to go to the dorm...didn't want to bother walking arcoss to catch a taxi.....i was soaked by the time i got to the dorm!!!!cleaned up everything and went to eat kimchisutubu!!!!!i so miss that!!!!!!

a sum up on my wonderful two weeks!!!!!never again going to take AIR INDIA...services were bad and the planes smiles bad too......love MACAU, HONG KONG- food...just a lot of vairieties and SHOPPING HEAVEN...i don't know if i could live there because it's so tempting to go shopping everyday!!!!doesn't matter what.....i've also noticed that people from up north are buying all the name brands...they go into LV, Gucci, Dori....etc...and shop like crazy...they don't just buy one purse, but TONS!!!!vs...HK people ah...have to think and think before purchasing it.....damn...where they get all those $$$$$$....crazy...PEOPLE from hk are shorter than Korean....i have to say Korean guys are much cuter and better built than HK....what else...can't think now...GHuangzhou- changed a lot...i don't recognize anything from the pass...i was actually really afraid to go back because of all the negative things people have warned me....so i was really awared of my surroundings.....canton has no more REAL canton people..most poeple speak mandarin now..which are from the north....since i've heard a lot of stories about pick pockets....i did experienced from my own eyes....

it was around 2am...my cousin was showing me around.....while we were walking...my little cousin felt someone was holding on to her shirt...during that time i didn't realized anything...not until i turned back then i saw a little girl was grabbing on to my cousin's leg and not letting go!!!!we tried so hard to pull her away...but didn't work....she wants us to give her $10 for a rose....later someone from across the street yelled...and the little girl ran away...turned out that police was around the corner....i was so shocked!!!!!my cousin told me, these things happend everyday...it's not begging anymore...it's walking to u up front and stealing it!!!!!!..i didn't like the weather there as well...so guangzhou didn't really give me a good impression...and i also think that everything was FAKED...one good thing is buying fake name brand bags are so cheap...u could get one for just $30...vs a really one is like $1000...

GuILIN- was fun.....first impression was i was being surrounded by huge mountains and pretty lakes!!!!i love visiting the villages and seeing their lives....it's so funny to see that an old grandpa just chilling at his yard could be so joyful.....their lives are so simple, yet satisfying....makes me think what about us......dunno...just different i guess...i love eating their dried sweet potatos....so yummy.....and the entire tour group was nice...everyone was being kind to another....

my five days to Guilin has ended!!!now i'm in guangzhou.....Guilin...first impression was there are many mountains!!!!!mountains surrounding the entire city....and all the mountains are are different from each other....the majority are native people...there are many tribes there...i always think that different tribe are really interesting because they have different customes and stuff....oh yeah our tour guide and the entire group was okay...most people from HK....a lot of couples with family....i was the youngest from the entire group....later i met three other people that are around the same age as me.....the trip didn't get interesting towards the end...when everyone know each other.....

wow long day again!!!!!went to macau.....first impression!!!!PRETTY....love the buildings and the surrounding....feels so so cool.....all the signs were in chinese and portugese!!!!and there's this new section called "fresherman's whraf"...just built it two years ago!!! it's like vegas...acutally i think it looks nicer than vegas because there is a real ocean!!!!!

this is my third day in HK....loving it since the frist day i got here...which was on friday....let's start from then...

June 5,
got to hk around 6 and aunt came to pick me up around 7...went to meet up with david and ate at this stead place.....and that mall happens to be where canoply of love was filmed.....it was really pretty hot and humid...went to the hotel...which was really nice....

went to Langhan Place again to shop around and met up with candy around 2....then shop around and went to eat at the Lai Man japanese noodle place....then went to Mok Kok center...got hella shit...tried the COLD NOODLe....a lot of cheap stuff everywhere...ate "pudding" it was so delicious...went to meet up with chi man...still looks the same...know they have their finals so didn't want them to stay that long...but went for a dinner...before that i drank "24 herb"....that was good...cuz i got a sore throat from yesterday night....so that helped a little.....then went to a Shanghai rest. it was okay...then they took me to Knutsfort Street...and went to Avenue of star and the harbor...which was really pretty...i still thought the first time i saw it...it was prettier.....after that chi man left...candy and i went to "mei ka" temple street.....we did the face reading and tarot....what the guy said was okay true....he said that i'm really lazy...and i can't save any money...but spender...he said i could start saving money around the age of 27...damn...that's like another 5 years!!!!and candy did the tarot...it was so funny because that guy told her that he couldn't help her predict anything if she doesn't have any target.....anyways....we went back to the hotel after that

freaked me OUT....i couldn't find my aunt for the entire afternoon.....i was so afraid that something happened to her.....because the last time i contacted her was last night...and her phone cutted off when i tried to call her back....no one answered...so that morning candy and i were just calling her for the entire afternoon...i was afarid that she got hurt or something...when i called david...he said he couldn't find her too....so after i picked joo li first and we went to STanley park...then she callled....i was so HAPPY....and releived......after that we went to the peak...which is not that special....oh we went to the temple place and did the shaking fortune thing....it was pretty interesting....after that went back to mok kok at night to shop around....very tiring day

june 7
went to did my visa,.....freaking expensive.....afterwards meet up with aunt and went to yum chai for the first time...it was okay...i was expecting more....didn't really taste that goood....then went to "tai yu san" to see the big budda....it was huge....afterwards went to this island called "wo mui" the clouds there were so nice.....and we waited there for two hours for the ferry to come...so that was sorta boring....then we went to cheung chau.....it was really unique and different...i like the atmosphere...however i know judy didn't like it....so i didn't feel like staying that long too...so we went back to Central....ate some food and went to Lai Kwai Fai...few streets...nothing really special...we went for a drink and went back to the hotel

pretty hot today....around 75......it was a pretty quick day at school...have decided to drop one of my classes because it doesn't really count...acutally all of my classes don't count...but just want to keep it to a minimal of 12 units....so i dropped the chinese character class...even though it's easy, but it's on friday...from 1-4..so i figured if fufu comes and we want to go to gyunju they have to wait for me.....so pretty much set for the finals...one essay, two exams and a presentation!

went to HiSEoul concert with justy, jack and lai koon....didn't expect much but it turned out pretty good....get to see Lee Hyori, sev7n and ah...forgot the group's name....it was my frist time seeing that crazy high school korean crowds!!!!they were screaming and laughing for the entire time....the police were funnie...they told them to sit down but no one was listening to them!!!!!when the crowd saw lee hyori they went crazy....everyone rushed up here the stage...so we did the same....we were so close to the stage at one time........when the staff asked everyone to step but couple steps....we did, however we went further like 10 more steps....it was so crazy......so we saw sev7n....everyone was screaming!!!!!!......that was something...after it was over went to bingsu...and went back....

just finished packing my stuff....hope i didn't forget anything...but the most important thing would be money and passport lor.......okie gonna sleep now!!!HONG KONG here i come =)

didn't really expected that much from the festival...however turned out not to be so bad.....it was really crowded around myeongdong....i have never seen so much foriegner in seoul for a long time....so guess it was a big event....i get to make my own lantern...that was pretty fun!!!!!Then went to watch the parade, which lasted for two hours....pretty good lor...after that went to the temple...it was so pretty because lanterns were all over the sky....so pretty....and for finale..they had a LOT of pick stuff flying around the sky...really looks like snow falling....so romantic......i really enjoyed!!!!!!feels like moon festival because everyone was holding a lantern!!!!!

finally get my ass out of the dorm and went to jog....i had to drag myself to go...but once i started jogging it feels so DAMN good....just LOVE that natural high.....while i was jogging saw these two guys running...so i had the rush to race them...so i did...hahhahah suckers!!!! hella slow...well i only out ran them for two laps tho.....(hehehhehe)...all good.....the wheather is still a little chilly at night...hopefully it'll get better since i started...i have that itch to run some more....oh yeah...yesterday went to hiking for the first time in three weeks...it was so difficult...i was huffing and puffing.....anyways when i think about it..i only have one more week to run...then heading to HK and China....can't wait.....hopefully it's not gonna rain...i rather be humid than for it to rain........

did i mentioned i feel really fat lately....damn when i look at my pictures...i look like a ballon or a "bun"....so scary....hopefully i could lose it all back when i come back......it's difficult to resist food tho..esp..JUNK food...love CALBEE chips......they taste so good...and can't forget DARK CHOCOLATE.....imagine eating that everyday...how could i not gain any weighs!!!!!*sigh*...

went to gimpo airport around noon time.....gimpo airport was so small....anyways went to jeju around 4pm...so was cloudy...when we got to the hotel....i was like...this is JEJU...omg....looks like any other places in seoul...once again very diappointed.....i think other than seoul korea has no where that are nice....anyways....next day went with a tour to some boring as places, but at least the wheather was nice...this nothing compare to hawaii......next day was a little bite better...get to ride on a pony and went to UDO...now that's how i imagine JEJU to be.....it's really nice....a really small island but has that hawaii feel to it...i like there better than jeju.....overall jeju is not that impressive....

omg...candy has arrived!!!can't believe it....we didn't do much tho...went for lunch and went to that stupid yoido to see the so-called cherry bolssom....however we were one week LATE....basically there weren't any flowers to look at...plus we went the wrong way....so we were so tired and DISppointed...even our school got more flowers than that freakin place.......but it's all good...i'm cold is getting better however my throat still feels a little sore...don't know why..hopefully it'll go away soon

went to seoul museum with jack and "polit".....it was really interesting...talking to pilot...it turns out that he wants to be a pilot so he could earn enough money to open his bakery after he retires....he said being a pilot is not his dream but making bread....when he said that i thought...wow...people have a lot of ambition for what they want...they are already thinking about their retirement plans.....wow...and this other day met another friend who is korean and speaks mandarin and cantonese fluently...and of course knows a little english.....i was just so impressed by the people around here...so much ambition and goaloreinted for......as a comparison...."sigh" what can i say......=)

it's really dusty today....koreans call it "yellow dust" because it comes from China~...lol....but everywhere was just really dusty..u can't even see the namsan tower....anyways...went to shopping AGAIN...i gotta stop because i don't have much to spend anymore....but just can't help it but BUY~~~~~~well at least selina was with me...hehheheh...so made me feel a little better lor...

nothing really special happened after queena left....today went to volunteer at children welfare center....we were to babysit special ed kids from 1-5.....it was pretty interesting...but really tiring....my kid was this probably 3rd grade boy...a little chubby..but really cute....i think he has ADD...runs around none stop...but the good thing about him is i think he's a perfectionist....when he colors he colors really neatly..his motor skills are pretty good....but you have to earn his trust...it took me couple hours for him to play with....and he likes to go to the bathroom a lot.....by the end of the day i was so exhausted already!!!!! but a was fun...would love to do it next month....

then went to eat with justy's friend's parents came from namjing.....they are so sweet....they were holding hands while they walk along the streets...now that's what i call HAPPINESS....even in their age..they still hold hands...how sweet..plus they traveled almost around the world already......so envious of them...wish i could do that when i'm their age....=)

sunday 11:00pm

such a long week....started off with two day fever.....it was just so random...monday morning went out to eat with jack and justy...when i went back to the dorm....i felt so tired...so i thought it was the food that we ate....then i kept drinking water but i felt so thristy...until around 4pm...i was so tired so i had a nap...when i woke up...i was still tired and sore....then i sorta know i got something....around 8pm...i felt so cold...then i know i was getting fever....since my roommate left already i was ALONE...so i was sorta scared in case anything happens no one would know...so i called justy just to let her know that i'm sick..so if i don't call her tomorrow she'll know something is wrong...then i tried to sleep but couldn't...so i called luisa to see if she has some medicine....she came down and gave me some medicine...i took that and went to sleep...but i felt so cold....i was wearing TONS of layers.....anyways...that feeling was so bad...the whole night my head hurts and my whole body was sore...the worst part was no one was there to take care of me =(......next day....got a group project meeting...but i was so zoned out...i almost want to pass out in front of them....so i knew i couldn't go to my 1pm class....so i went back to the dorm and sleep until 5pm...that's when i got to go pick up queena and them....luckly justy was nice enough to go with...i really really appreciate that....i don't know what else to say to her other than...thank you......she's such a considerate friend =).....after we picked them up...i slept some more on the bus....i got better tho...guess the medicine helped....when we got back to the dorm it was 11pm....such a long day.....wednesday...slept until 11am...and went to pick up queena and ben....there we started my tour to SEOUL....blahblahblah.....i was also stressed by a presentation on friday because i felt like i didn't do anything because i have to take queena and them around...but i guess my group didn't mind....so friday comes and the presenation was over...such a relief!!!!!gotta go celebrate!!!!...went to namsan tower...it's much nicer at night than in the daytime....but nothing compare to tokyo tower.......after that went back to myedong grabbed something to eat and went back to the their hotel...oh yeah...that hotel..was like!!!!!!!everyone bowing to you....so not use to it!!!! =)....anyways..freshen up and went to kangnam to meet mike and mia...first time going to kangnam...so many bars and clubs(well guess everywehre is like that).....went to this bar called tactoo....got a drink and went to NB...it was so crowded...have never seen a club so crowded...u can't even go into the dance floor.....so we dance upstairs...the shots there are cheaper than m2.....i really like the music...but too bad no where to dance...we stayed until 3am....and mia had to go....sorta didn't want to leave...but i guess when we got back to the dorm...i was so tired....on saturday...woke up aorund 10am...went to their hotel to have dinner with them and watch them leave!!!!!wow.....yea...went back to home and just felt so tired.....what a week....seems like couple weeks have gone by......but it's a good thing...did some shopping when queena was aroound...that's so weird...didn't realize i could buy so many stuff)hehehhehehe)........

oh yea...when i came back..my dl site was down....i was so scared because i can't leave without my soaps!!!!!i was so worried...but today it worked again...i guess i havet post all the time for it to be active...so i went to another site and showed dad how to use it too....so we both have stuff to watch now =).....I HAVE TO HAVE MY SOAPS...NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT =)

uh-oh....i think i have insomia again....just like last semester...it's always not the first couple of weeks after i arrived...but like a month later...yesterday night i were not able to sleep until 4am...and had a 10am class....i guess that's not that bad...however for someone that REQUIRES at least TEN hours of sleep that's is not a good sign.....please don't tell me i have to take a month to adjust this...i'll go crazy!!!!!...raining outside...not that cold...selina went back to hk for her two week break...my roomate gonna leave next week...mayb i'll get a new one or i have the room all to myself.....I think i prefer a roomate~....

went hiking yesterday...went to another place...this one is not that bad....but it's always toward the end that kills me.....but that VIEW is just.....it's worth every SWEAT......i think i'm in love with hiking...just feels so good....esp. by yourself....it's funny...majority of the hikers are over 40's.....i saw this "a-jor-si"..looks like he's in his 60's....hiking up that mountain like it's no biggy...where i have to struggle to get up!!!!!what a shame......but it's really funny when they offer u "mik-gu" which is beer on the top of the mountain....i have seen many men look very drunk on their way down....how can they manage that...i also like the spirit that all the hikers geared up for their hike....hiking clothes, boots.....just looks so professional....makes me feel like i'm part of the Hiking club!!!!!(with all the a-jor-si and a-ju-ma) HIKING ROCKS

yesterder day night went to clubbing with patrick and his friends.....we went to this club at hongik university, called M2....it's a house music club...it wasn't crowded when we first got there....however when it was around 1am....that place was packed.....drinks there are so freakin expressive...so i didn't get anything....so i was sober...but we danced from 1am to 5am....so crazy...when we left the club was still packed.....i saw vairety of crowds from young to old.....so it was a nice experience....there were both cute guys and girls....one thing i didn't like was that everyone smokes there...even girls....so stuffy and shit....but people go crazy around 3-5am....it's just so crowded...some times i can't even dance!...but it was a nice expereince!

have to say pretty productive today!!!!went to surlaksan for hiking...while i was taking the subway....i took the wrong direction twice!!!so it took me forever to get there...by the time i got there it was 2:00...basically i took 2 hours to get there instead of 1.....anyways....hiking up was okay...of course until that rope claiming part...that's always a pain in the ass....acutally i like hiking by myself esp. on a weekday...there's no pressure...i go at my own speed....it's pretty nice.....coming down was sorta slow..esp at the rope part...mayb next time i'll just skip that part(hehehehe) when i came sown it was 5 already....so i hurried back to i house...since luisa and i want to go to the new "gim-gilr-bun"(translate in chinese...literally means shower place....yea....cost $7 to go take a shower!!!!....that place is really near our school J told me about that place....

first time at a shower place...first we put our shoes in the locker....went to another floor when we change into this shorts and t-shirts they provided us....and went up to antoher floor for sauna....we went into this one like around 94C....when i first went in i thought i was gonna die....probably i wasn't used to it...but after awhile it feels good....we stayed there for awhile and i was sweating so much!!!! we went to antoher room where the temp is even higher...but i couldn't stand it...after that we went back downstairs and took over all our clothes(yes...nude)....feels so weird...cuz i've never done it before...even though it's all women...i feel so self-conscious....after that we went into this huge bath area...where there are different pools...i like the green tea one...feels really good....stayed there for awhile and went home...overall feels really weird...heard that it's a kroean culture thing...a lot of people like to go there....it's good for your health or something....oh yeah...u can even sleep there if u want...so $7 is not that bad...right now i feel so relaxed...perfect to go after a nice hike!!! =)

running w/ the stars once again

started running once again...at the beginning i was hestiate to go because i'm too lazy and because of that two incidents....sorta scared something might happen to me...so when i walked to the field....i pay more attention to my surroundings......it was a nice run....too bad that "ah ba" wasn't there....it feels different now...not as much people as before...dunno if that has to do with the incident...but i'll try to run early......

today...wasn't planning to go out....but i want to exchange my shoes at sinchon..and saw J online...so he was nice enough to go w/me...plus he has his mother's car...so he drove there...his car is cool...keyless entry...all leather and navi.....after exchanging my shoes....he took me to their so called "wal-mart"...near seoul station....the store was huge...probably 3 -4 stories.....i got some junk food...hehhehehhe...the price are okay...not that cheap...i think dollar stores are cheaper.....but it's all good....after that he drove me back to the dorm....get to chat w/ dad and vinh...so that was NICEE...anyways...my roomate and i were joking..how come she always has to study while i'm always watching soaps....*sigh*..
